A bulb consumed $24\ \text{J}$ of energy per second, when connected to a $12\ \text{V}$ supply. Calculate the power consumed when it is connected to a $6\ \text{V}$ supply.

P = 24 J/s ($\frac{1}{2}$ Mark)
When connected to 12V supply
$P = \frac{V^2}{R}$
$R = \frac{12 \times 12}{24}$
$R = 6 \Omega$ (1 Mark)
When connected to 6V supply
$P = \frac{V^2}{R}$
$P = \frac{6 \times 6}{6}$
$P = 6 W$ (1 Mark)
When connected to 12V supply
$P = \frac{V^2}{R}$
$R = \frac{12 \times 12}{24}$
$R = 6 \Omega$ (1 Mark)
When connected to 6V supply
$P = \frac{V^2}{R}$
$P = \frac{6 \times 6}{6}$
$P = 6 W$ (1 Mark)
