Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow :
Metabolic activities produce metabolic waste, which refers to by-products from the body's energy-producing processes that are unusable and potentially toxic. These wastes need removal from the body to maintain health. The wastes like urea, water, salts, ammonia, etc. are excreted via kidneys, sweat or urine. $\ce{CO2}$ is eliminated through the lungs.
